Steve Jobs was an influential man and an inspiration to many around the world. He had a number of amazing insights into human nature and doing great work; one of which was captured in this short video.
Choosing to believe this truth has the power to set you free from the fear of action and lift the burden of not feeling good enough to make a difference. How can that happen in just 45 seconds? Watch & find out.
To summarize, here’s what he said:
“When you grow up, you tend to get told the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world. Try not to bash into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. That’s a very limited life. Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact. And that is: Everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again.”
The world is waiting for you to be like all the other game changers who were no smarter than you. Whether you want to make a difference in your workplace, family, community or church, get up and go.
Waiting to be perfect and ready means that someone else who is just as imperfect and unready will have to step up and take your place.
What will you do, now that you know that others are no more special than you?
